Vista installation problem

I have tried to install version "96" and "98" on my AMD/Vista laptop and the program refuses to open or even show an error code.  The icon goes to "wait state" for about 10 seconds and then nothing happens.  Any suggestions?

ZS4 for Vista

I have the same problem with my Vista installation, altough everything works fine with Windows XP.

I have seen in some other post that someone was using ZS4 with Vista, so it does work. Any special tweak we must implement ?

windows vista has a User Account Control that the programs have to be aware so it doesn't need user attention! but older prog's must be installed and executed with admin privileges (right click on the setup and choose "run as admin"). when instaled one must execute it by doing same on its shortcut or the app itself (right click and "run as admin")! this is mainly because of disk access privileges on vista, over other stuff obviously!
try this method instead of emulate as win xp sp2 or win 2K, leave those options as default!
