I've started to work on zs4 again, at least a bit. The idea here is to make a few easy changes/fixes which will result in usability improvements. I'll attach some of the things as comments to this article.

t@b has been working intensely with zs4 over the last 4 months. They filmed a live show at a local theatre using 5 digital video cameras and a digital multitrack audio recording system. The result, a unique concert DVD (trailer), is available starting June 6, 2008, for only $20. Also, t@b will perform live in Ontario in June 2008. Catch them in person there if you like.

Obviously they still exist ( zs4 and the oldZweiStein ), but no new releases have been forthcoming for many months. Version 0.958 beta is now available from the download page.

This release provides improved support for transparency saving and loading. Also new is the ability to load image sequences. A fix for the Video-is-black problem is also included.

t@b releases brand new audio CD

The creators of ZS4 video compositing program have just realeased their 3rd Audio CD, titled "A Canadian in Berlin".

This CD contains 13 tracks alltogether, some like the title track "A Canadian in Berlin" are original compositions while others like "No More Blues" (Jobim) and "Love for Sale" (Porter) are old time favourite jazz songs.

t@b just released a brand new music video “Banana”, made with ZS4. The new recording of “Banana” features two new musical friends of t@b participating in both the recording and the filming of this track. They're Rick Clayton, who plays the drums and Nicholas Tipney, playing a Vector Violin, made by himself, of course.

Capturing and Importing for ZS4 on OS X Tiger

We've aquired a workable mac mini box last week, ported ZS4 to it using XCode and voila, we had our free video compositing software running on OS X (Tiger). This article explains how to go about capturing and importing video into zs4 on os x computers.
