Picture In Picture - Feature question - does ZS4 do it?

See:  http://www.bowenvale.pointclark.net/VideoLayout.gif

I have 4 mpeg files off my video camera.

Think of a security camera screen set up. Screens often show 4 video feeds at the same time in quarters.

In my case I want to show all 4 video files at the same time, in to 1 new mpeg file.

Perhaps I should explain the application...

I have a 15 minute documentary on air quality that talks about the impact that buses and trucks have on our air in our cities.

I want to create a new version that has the doco playing in the 'main video' section of the screen.

I then have 45 minutes (3 * 15 min clips) of local buses and trucks in my area.

It's
easy for our local polies to say that these problems aren't really
happening in our area. 15 mins of tape showing our own buses with black
smoke comming out of them is a bit harder to argue with.

Can I do this with this software?

If I can, then can someone point me in the right direction?

Cheers Don

Hi,

Hi,

yes of course it's possible to do this. With the x-stretch and y-stretch, you'll be able to resize your clip, then use the vertical position and horizontal position to place them where you want.

If you need more information, you can ask me !

Regards.

Oh I also had this

Oh I also had this question. That's cool I'll try that.
Can you have up to nine videos?

Picture in Picture need help

Hi,

I'm a real beginner with t@b ZS4 but after watching some of the video created with this tool on YouTube, I really believe it is what I need, but I'm really struggling with it, any help would be appreciated.

Here is what I'm trying to do:
1/ I have a "background" file consisting of a guy (myself) playing guitar (it is an avi and let's call it backgroung.avi) and I'd like to had let say on the top part of the video the tab that I'm playing.
2/ I did record the tab using a screencam tools and thus do have it in a avi file too (let's call it tab.avi)
3/I converted both file into mjpg file still avi format
4/ I imported them into t@b ZS4 and it seems to work fine
5/ I dragged and dropped them down in the Media Mixer area, again no pb here

But then I could not find how to "resize" tab.avi and "move" it on the top of the mixer output so that it shows where I want. I looked at "rectangle", crop , vertical position but I must admit did not understood how to use these function to achieve what I'm trying to do.

I thank beforehand anybody with hints or tips or having a tutorial or a sample project file coresponding to what I'm trying to do.

Thanks

Franck.
