Import PNG

I'm trying to read a graphic that has a transparent background. I can bring it up in a viewer (Irfanview), but ZS4 doesn't like it. In fact, it doesn't seem to like any of my png or gif files, with or without transparency. It reads jpg files fine, but I don't think that jpg supports transparency.

Is this a problem on my (Windows XP) system only, or is it more general?

I can work around the problem with a fixed color background that I can key away once I'm in ZS4. Eventually, though, it would be nice to get it working.

Attached is an early version of the image that I'm working on for your amusement. I'm putting together some content for a WWW site for a "Science Camp". I've done the jpg/key trick on the two pictures, and I'll do the "GROSS" graphic next. I might put the girl's arm through the "G" for a better effect.

Thanks for the preview, that is amusing.
Would you mind attaching one of the pngs that ZS4 doesn't like as well? When you say it doesn't like them, does that mean it screws up the transparency or it doesn't import the files at all? Have you imported any pngs on your Linux system?

gif not animated : -(

Hi I have imported a gif into my project of a spinning coin......it came in upside down, which I could easily fix, but the problem is it is just a static image and doesn't spin : -(  .......please help I have loads of gifs which I would love to add to projects and its very frustrating!! ( was going to attach the gif but couldn't see how to!!!)
