Frame Per Second

Hey,

I just wondered why the "fps" under Track-Properties is different than the actual frame-rate of the original video.  For example, when I imported a video clip that had a framerate of 10 fps, the "fps" reading under Track-Properties was only 2.  Then. when I imported other videos into the project, the "fps reading" was also different from that of the original video.  I'm just curious if this has something to do with my videos or with Zs4.
Any help is greatly appreciated.

Frame Per Second...

That is my inquiry as well.
When trying to mport a video file
I get a 5 fps - would anyone help me ?

Frame Per Second

The same thing happens to me. I change the fps to whatever speed I recorded video at. Click where the fps is, back space to get rid of the value, then add whatever fps you use. Be sure to change the dims if you are recording in NTSC, the default is for PAL.

FPS

thanks,
but it's not about output file's fps
but about fps of the file being imported to zs4.
eg. I have a DVD quality mpeg,
after importing this file I get only 5 fps
As a consequence, an output file
can't be any higher that 5 fps....

FPS

Sorry, I can't help you there, hopefully someone will have an answer soon.

FPS

I would also like to petition a solution for this. It seems that ZS4 automatically divides the fps by 5 upon importing. One solution I've found is to convert the fps of your source video using a program like Virtualdub to 5x what it is originally then when you import it into ZS4 it would show the fps as the same as the original. Not sure if this actually preserves the fps though, so I would like to know how to prevent this altogether.

FPS problem

How come there is no answer to this one yet? It should be working, this is the basic feature that the authors would've noticed not working immediatelly. I just don't understand how to make it work. For me it also cuts the input fps in 5 (25 to 5, tried on MPEG-2 and AVI (XviD) files).

FPS problem (2)

An addition to the previous post. I also tried the T@B Converter, created an MJPEG AVI file and an uncompressed AVI file. The files have 25 fps (at least, the MJPEG - the Media Player didn't want to play the uncompressed one), but after importing to ZS4 the MJPEG became 5 fps again. The uncompressed one wasn't imported properly (no video).
Who knows what to do??
