After your video is imported and visible in the arrangement pane (bottom right area) you may use one of the below combinations to achieve a tinted video:

Method one (2 steps):

1. Turn your video black and white by dragging the following effect onto your clip in the arrangement pane: effects->video effects->simple filters->desaturate. This should turn your video into a black and white thing.
2. Drag the following effect onto the same video clip in arrangement pane: effects->video effects->adjust color->tint RGB. Play with the red green and blue values in the variable pane (bottom left area, "vars" tab)

Method two (more steps)

1. Add the two effects of method one to your clip. but set the red and the blue color in the "tint RGB" effect to the minimum value. This should result in a video which is "shades of green".
2. Drag the following effect as 3rd effect onto your video clip: effects->video effects->adjust color->adjust hsl. This allows you to control the color of your video in terms of hue, luminance (brightness) and saturation.

About a year ago before my computer crashed I had tried out Zs4 and did this tutorial which i thought I found here where it should how to turn a clip black and white but keep a section..in the case of the sample vid the bow tie Red. I have a video I am working on and I want to have some clips black and white with just certain elements colored. I would really love to know how to do this..
